HBA Cards connected...How to know?
 

Q.) How can we know about how many HBA cards connected to the LINUX BOX?

Please stop posting homework questions.

Read the man pages on lspci, lsusb, and hwinfo. Walk to the machine and LOOK AT IT. Do some research ON YOUR OWN, before posting questions. A brief Google search turns up lots on how to identify hardware in Linux.

why are you stopping others to answer my questions..

after all if i google also answer may be their or may not be their...

if somebody might have faced same questions in their career and can answer my questions, what is happening to you...

don't you like helping others... or what...

Why people give KT in the company ? do you know or not? Knowledge should be spread to every body so that if that person fails another person can implement it..

What do you loose in intransferring your knowledge ?

so i request..please be sit a side and dont stop others who wants to help others...

Hi,

I have read and searched all your queries here at LQ. It does seem to me that most of your posts can easily be answered by a little effort on your part. We are here to help but you too should show some effort on your part.

May I suggest that you do a Search here at LQ since it is probable that the question has been queried and answered before.

Google & DuckDuckGo are good search engines that will spew out information for good key word searches. If you find something that may need clarification then please feel free to post queries with information to help solve the issue/problem.

BTW, It seems that most of your queries are research for homework type questions. Please re-read the LQ Rules;
Does not say that we cannot help but that you will gain more by attempting to solve yourself.

And I request that you actually show some effort. Your questions are almost verbatim homework assignments, so either you don't want to read your textbooks, or you don't feel like doing any research, and want us to spoon-feed you answers.

Here's a hint: saying "how can we know how many HBA cards are in a system?", shows no effort on your part. Saying "I found these commands xxx,xxx,xxx, and they all give different results, and I'm confused. Can someone explain the difference? And do these just apply to HBA's, or can I identify different hardware with them?", shows that you DID put some effort into things, and you will then get LOTS of help. Yes, answers may or may not be on Google...but if you never bother looking, HOW WILL YOU KNOW?

Oh !!! you r simply a great person...

this forum main aim is to help linux admins with their issues..what ever it may be..

but linux...questions may be answered...small question or basic questions....

Yes, there are no restrictions for the queries. But it is expected on your part to make some effort(s) to a solution. LQ is not a help desk nor Service support. If you desire that type of help then you should subscribe to that service.
