having trouble deciding what tv tuner to get
I would like to get a tv tuner either internal or external. I have a few questions:
1. Are the USB externel tv tuners good enough, and compatible in Linux?
2. If externals are out of the question, what's a good tv tuner card?
If externals are good enough, I would like to add one to my laptop, but if not, I will just pick up an internal one, also, I have a friend whose video drivers knock his tv tuner off in linux,
He has:
NVIDIA nForce2 chipset motherboard
Hauppage TV tuner card
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro
It took a while to get the nforce drivers and video card drivers to co-exist peacefully, but now his tuner card has sound, but no picture, he uses Suse deluxe edition Linux, I use Slackware 9.1. Thanks, any advice would be appreciative in influencing my decision on buying a tv tuner card.
