hardware issues 1.1
Hello!
Recently I posted a mesage with some hardware problems I have on Mandrake 8.2. My win partitions still don't work. I cannot enter them as normal user, but as root I can do everything. My burner appeared in mandrake control center once, but now I don't have an option to customize cd burner anymore. It was there only once! Here's my /etc/fstab: /dev/hdb6 / ext3 defaults 1 1 none /dev/pts devpts mode=0620 0 0 none /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0 /dev/hdb1 /home ext3 defaults 1 2 /dev/scd0 /mnt/cdburner iso9660 user,ro,noauto 0 0 /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660 user,ro,noauto 0 0 /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy auto user, noauto,ro 0 0 /dev/hda1 /mnt/windowsc ntfs ro 0 0 /dev/hda5 /mnt/windowsd ntfs ro 0 0 none /proc proc defaults 0 0 /dev/hdb5 swap swap defaults 0 0 And my logitech quickcam express: it was perfectly autodetected by mandrake 8.2, but works only in zapping (in xawtv I see only a green screen). And in zapping it works a bit strange: I get the following mesage by a ZAPPING ERROR CONSOLE: Console started, stardate Thu May 2 15:42:32 2002 Please tell the maintainer about any bugs you find. Error: zvbi.c (552) [zvbi_open_device]: Failed to access vbi device: Cannot open '/dev/vbi0': 2, No such file or directory. This probably means that the required driver isn't loaded. Add to your /etc/modules.conf the line: alias char-major-81-224 bttv (replace bttv by the name of your video driver) and with mknod create /dev/vbi0 appropriately. If this doesn't work, you can disable VBI in Settings/Preferences/VBI options/Enable VBI decoding. Error: zvbi.c (140) [on_vbi_prefs_changed]: Sorry, but /dev/vbi0 couldn't be opened: Success (0) Error: zmisc.c (343) [zmisc_switch_mode]: Preview will not work: [tveng1.c] tveng1_detect_preview (line 2145) flags check failed: The capability field says that there is no overlay Error: main.c (701) [main]: Cannot restore previous mode, I will try starting capture mode: [tveng1.c] tveng1_detect_preview (line 2145) flags check failed: The capability field says that there is no overlay Any suggestions? |
