hard drive not showing

I am trying to install fedora core4 on a computer with a serial ata hard drive. when getting ready to partition, it is saying cannot find a hard drive. the computer works fine for windows also it installs fine on another computer. anybody had this problem with a sata. thanks tom

Don't know anything about Fedora Core 4, but with the Linux tool cfdisk one would enter "cfdisk /dev/sda" to partition the first SATA drive.
