hard drive filesystems..

Hey all!

I have a dual boot system: winXP & Ubuntu.

I have a SATA hard disk 250GB in which i store my music. My problem is that Iwant to format this disk so that it will be visible from both systems. I gues one solution is FAT32 but it won't support a partition of 250GB.

Any ideas???

You can format it ext3 and use an ext3 driver for Windows.

FAT32 will support partitions of 250GB, because I once bought an external disk that size that came formatted as FAT32. Windows won't let you a partition that size as FAT32, but it should be possible from within Linux. I recommend following matthewg42's advice though, ext3 is a better filesystem.
