hal.dll problem

i have 80 GB seagate baracudda,it has 5 GB,20 GB, 20 GB & 30 GB partitions RESPECTIVELY.(Made with seagate diskwizzard).5 GB is left empty

c: is system partition(5 gb primary partition )
d:,e:,& f: are logical partitions

d is boot partition for winxp

i installed redhat 8.0 on 5 gb empty space

every thing went fine i.e grub is properly loaded and showing option for dos and linux

but when i clicked dos it shows me the error

system32/hal.dll missing

i have applied same procedure on my another computer which has 40 gb baracudda here but os are working fine

what should i do??

Well this would seem more like a problem with Windows than Linux. Some how one way or another you either lost, deleted or that file is corrupted. I'd say try to boot into safe mode or a Windows boot disk and try to recover that dll file. Other than that, your probably better off asking this in a Windows forum, probably gonna get faster and better responses there.

this isn't seems the problem with dll file but actually windows lost the bootable partition when linux partition is added and when i delete those linux partition everything becomes all rights
