Gxine good - MplayerPlugin Bad
 

The amount of time I have spent trying to get Mplayer plugin to work is countless, Mozillia would crash out with the latest version and previous versions would never actually play the streaming content, so after reading a post on this forum about GXINE plugin I thought I would give-it-ago and after 5 minutes downloading the binary packages from http://xinehq.de/ I was watching streaming video from the web. :)

Mplayer is still my default movie player (still think it's the best) but xine works flawlessly with mozilla, although it open an extra window to play rather than embeding, i can live with that.

Hope this help others that are having trouble with mplayer plugin.
