Guys/Girls I need your help with redhat mail server

I have a 5 server setup at my work . The setup is this
1 pdc NT
2 bdc NT
3 Webserver win 2000
4 Sql server win 2000
5 Mail server Redhat linux 6

My question is that we are going to update our IPS and we cant keep the same ones we had. How hard will this be to change the IP of the linux mail server and what steps do I have to take to get the mail server up and running again with the new ip.

Please any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Unhappy no details....just basics

Sorry not familiar with the details, but here are the basics:

If possible, configure server to have both IPs, if not then you are going to be without some email until the DNS catches up.

All you really have to do is change the MX record on your DNS. If your hosting your own, update the zone file. If not then contact your ISP, or the other DNS host you may be using.

If you can not run both IPs then in about 48 hours all the DNS severs should be updated and things will be back to normal.

Sorry I can't be more specific about changing IPs. Still new at Linux myself.

HTH
