Question Gui dialog box to show a message

Hi.

When in a console we can use Wall for sending messages for users connected on the system, but the problem is that my users uses GUI so I need something the could send messages for these users in GUI.

So when I need to reboot the system I could show a alert/dialog box in wall users display warning that, here I'm using a LTSP server, so all users are connected in the same box on different displays so two things could be very useful:
1) open an alert box for all users at the same time
2) open an alert box just for an specific user/display

Anyone knows an application that could help me with this?

thanks!

I was considering zenity and like programs such as Xdialog and xmessage. There's a discussion here:

http://newsgroups.derkeiler.com/Arch.../msg00473.html

that offers suggestions on how to script this so that all users are queried, $DISPLAY for each is discovered, etc., that may help you out.

cheers,
