Guarddog removal

Okay I'm trying to firewall the machinne that I'm on, and I was having trouble figuring out iptables by itself. So I tried Guarddog, while it seems to be a pretty cool program I was having more problems with it than I was with iptables. Thus I removed Guarddog or so I thought. It seems that whenever I restart my machine the iptables that Guarddog created are reapplied, this is something of a problem since as they were when I unstalled Guarddog they didn't really work. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of thoes settings? They aren't in /etc/sysconfig/iptables or iptables-config. If I do a "service iptables restart" it loads them from the iptables file which is the firewall that I have defined. But I'd really like it so that I didn't have to fix it every time I logged on. Thanks for the help.

When I installed guarddog I used the most recent redhat rpm package
I used "rpm -ivh" for the intall and "rpm -e" for the uninstall, and I'm running Fedora.
