Grub vga=o335 -- Non number not working

Hello --

These tries do not work...

kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.26-2-686 root=/dev/sda1 ro quiet vga="o335" splash

kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.26-2-686 root=/dev/sda1 ro quiet vga=335 splash

kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.26-2-686 root=/dev/sda1 ro quiet vga=0x14F splash

Each time a get an error.
Something like "Hit <ENTER> to view possible resolutions."
I do and enter in o335 and it works.

o335 VESA ==> 720x400@16

How do I enter this into the grub so it will work?
I am using splashy on Debian 5.

Thanks,
Jon

Its probably 0335 not o335.
But your video card may not support that strange resolution at that color depth.
