GRUB boot loader problem
Hi Everyone, I install my SUSE 9.1 Pro with GRUB boot loader on my home PC. But when I try to boot windows XP Pro from the GRUB menu, I receive message: "rootnoverify (hd0,0) chainloader +1"
How can I restore my windows XP Pro to boot normally, and I want to keep my SUSE it's a great OS. Thanks! |

Thanks for the information. It looks like it will fix the problem. Except I cannot verify it will work because Suse will not recognize the CD (no floppy drive on laptop) as having the drivers. I was wondering?
An other device comes up can I say have it point to a folder on the hard drive to find the driver. Say /dev/hda/ but what next? Dvd is hdc The cd seems to have a pretty involved structurer. what do you think? How can I have the installer use the harddrive to find the "parted driver" that would be installed from the cd. Whole problem trying to figure a way to have suse recognize the parted fix as no floppy and doesn't like the cdrom. Any suggestions. Steve |
