Grub as Murphy Law: always is for suffering
Friends:
Simple.
I boot all days my Windows 98SE. In my PC, i have Windows98SE in first partition and Linux Red Hat 8 in another partition.
After installing some programs, I losted the GRUB booter. Now, i boot only Windows.
When i need Linux, I put my Linux disquette, i booted from it. Linux is up and running.
Inside LINUX I made 'grub-install /dev/hda'
Ok. Now Linux can boot from my hard disk...but Windows 98SE dont. I select Windows on Grub menu, "chainloader..."...nothing happens...
So, I boot from a Windows 98SE disquette, i run FDISK /MBR.
Now i have Windows 98SE up and running, and Linux dont.
So...
You know. If you want to turn off the monitor in Windows, you press the OFF button. In linux, you must edit /etc/i_want_the_monitor_off and run the daemon "shut_da_fck_monitor"...etc.. etc.
Any ideas...
