Graphics and Sound

k, im REALLY new to Linux, ie just installed a few hours back, and im wondering if i can install my sound drivers and graphics drivers in Linux, also, whats the deal with games in Linux, do i need programs to allow mainstream games to play, or will they work ?

Doesn't sound like a stupid question to a newbie like me.
Mandrake 9.1 works with most sound and graphics cards and it is definitely possible to run several windows games in wine or winex. You might want to check hardware compatibility lists if you have any problems.

i have heard of wine but not winex, im guessing they are both windows emulators... can u expand at all ?
