Graphical reboot in mdk 10.1RC causes freeze after partitions unmount

Hi,

I just upgraded to Mandrakelinux 10.1RC. I'm having problems rebooting my system. Whenever I enter "reboot" (symlink to binary /sbin/halt) in a terminal emulator or enter "shutdown -r now", there is no problem. However, whenever I do so graphically in KDE

(Start --> Logout & select 'Restart' radio button: see screenshot in
http://www.ph.utexas.edu/~daneel/reboot.png )

something strange happens.

All services shut down okay and the killall signal is sent and everything, and then the partitions unmount, but after that it just displays a bunch of hex characters and hangs and I have to press 'reset' to reboot.

I just need somebody to tell me what is the backend command executed by KDE when I click on "restart" and the conf file where it is kept, so that I may just edit it and make it simply "shutdown -r now" which does seem to work okay. That should work, unless it's more complicate dthan that, in which case I could use a helping hand.

Thanks a bunch,
AR
