Can anyone suggest some good graphical filesystem browsers?

I don't want to install a DE just to get a good filesystem browser like Konqueror.

If you're really trying to go hard core and no DEs at all, then you may like Midnight Commander (mc at command prompt). What Desktop do you plan on using if any? You can download basic GUI's like XFM to a little more fancy TkDesk type. There are a ton out there, it just depends on where you are gonna be when you use it.

No I'm running blackbox currently.

I started with a bare-bones slackware 8.0 distribution, and I've been adding things little by little.

I don't want to install a DE like kde or gnome (until kde 3.0 comes out).

So right now all I've been using is xterm.

So, I'm looking for the best graphical filesystem managers out there. Any suggestions?

You might want to check out ROX-Filer
I found it in one of those Linux mags that comes with a cd. Not a bad little file manager, very fast.
Gentoo is also very fast and easy to use.

Well if you haven't installed KDE or GNOME, you are limited with what file managers you can use since many won't have been installed. If you have the Slack 8 CD #2 'Extras' you can mount that, then cd to /pasture/tkdesk and type installpkg tkdesk. Then in BlackBox run tkdesk and see how you like it.. It's a nice simple fast little guy. I like it. XFM should be installed just run xfm. Honestly though, the "BEST" ones are gonna come with a DE.

X WinCommander (xwc) is decent. You might even already have it installed.
