gparted error

Hi
I want to resize my PCs partition but the gparted is giving error that;

Can't overlapping partitions

and also is showing all the disk as un-partitioned.

are u using live cd?
which partition do you want to re-size?

Yes I am using GParted Live CD
I want to resize sda7 to create 4GB free space to install arch linux.

why don't you just re-partition it in the arch installation process?

Actually this is my first time with arch so partition resize in arch may be dangerous and I could loose all of my data!

Well, if you check the end of sda7, you'll see it is outside of the end of the extended. And outside the last cylinder of the disk itself

So yep, it looks like overlapping partitions. gparted shouldn't show it as unallocated though. What does "parted -l" give ?.

Probably caused by the changes in partition alignment that have come in over the last few releases/years.
