Good Mini-Linux for 400MB hd partition?

OK, I got dsl, Tinycore, and webserverpuppy on my hd
and I had Slitaz, but slitaz runs really sllooowww, like it's running from cd or something??!
Anyway, so I wanna get rid of slitaz and install something else...
I have tried feather, dsl-n, luitlinux, and slax, etc
So, what mini-linux is a good recommendation that can live in a 400MB partition?
thanks!

HHmmm, thanks for this post, It made me look up slax again,

To my delight since 6.0.7, 6.1.1 has been released recently. "Downloading in progress". ;-)

I use slax to rescue window$ machines that won't boot, or are very slow to boot and do tests.

And small backups.

Cheers, Glenn

Good luck finding something. I'm surprised that tinycore didn't work out for you. I love that distro it's very clean. Do you have your heart set on running xorg? I found a link that maybe interesting for you http://mypage.uniserve.ca/~thelinuxg...linux/all.html I've tried blueflops before and it works well, just doesn't have any modules that I needed.

No, dog, I'm loving tinycore
but I'm making my first portable-multidistro
a 1.5GB qemu-img filled with 6 partitions
and so far 5 distros
1-tinycore-2.0
2-DSL-4.4.10 hd install
3 WebServerPuppy-1 (4.12) Frugal/Hybrid
4 MyDSL-4.4.10 Frugal
5 PupFlux412 Full Install

partition layout is approx
hda1 390MB tinycore-2.0 using tcvd's
hda2 390MB dsl hd install
hda3 390MB webserverpuppy
hda4 extended 360MB
hda5 312MB MyDSL frugal + PupFlux412 full install
hda6 swap 55MB (probably needs to be bigger...)

No shit
all my portables ride on usb or play out of folder on desktop in windows or llinux
( http://multidistro.com/downloads/por...portables.html )

Never was able before to partiton and get grub working etc
but now I've got it down!
anybody wanna beta-test new Portable-MultiDistro-v0.10 ?

Yeah I checked that out the other day when I saw one of your posts. It looks like it would be nice to have on a usb stick! You may end up having to create your own distro to get what your wanting. Thats how most of the good ones started anyway. LOL
