No offense meant, but you must be
somewhat out of your mind mate. How
can I solve a problem that I don't
even know?

And no, asking such a question doesn't
deserve anything but irony.

"Doctor, help me!"
"What's wrong?"
"I don't know, just fix it!!"
At that point the doctor grabs
a straight-jacket and thinks:
"I do wonder whether that's
what he meant?"

Just out of curiosity: can you post a link?
I'd like to know whether you supplied them
with the same "information" we got :}

Cheers,
Tink

Hi all! ^^ I have a friend who I converted to Linux that wants to go back to Windows because he's got stuff to do that Linux won't do. How is that done? I've tried to get him to make a boot floppy but that doesnt seem to work... Any ideas?
you guyes really didn't understand his post.
when he said "how is that done?" he was not refering to how to do the things his frined needed to do. he was refering to how to reinstall windows after installing mandrake on his system.

you guyes were hastling him for something he didnt do. i mean of course his post could have been clearer, but i understood it straight off.

maybe his friend's windows cd was not bootable so he couldnt start the setup.exe file without dos or somethign... si had trouble installing windows after installing mandrake (certian aps that arn't ported to linux yet ) .... the last bit ("i've tried to get him...." ) should have made it clear that he wa asking for advice on how to reinstall windows after installing linux.....

First of all it should be made more clearly. Second of all, wrong forum if you need to install Windows, this would belong in General then, not Linux - General. And third and lastly, yes, no one should be bashing him, but asking for more information in which we tried at first but was never given and now the problem is solved.

To prevent any other bashing and non-sense, I'm closing this thread as the user requested it and also there is no other reason to leave it open at this point since some can't be nice to probe the user for more information.

Regards.
