Gnome wont Login
 
Hey guys,

im running RHEL4.5AS, and after it updated the Utils-Linux package, it now will not log in to the gnome DE. i have tried logging in to KDE, which works fine, but i want to go back to my Gnome DE... please help!

okok, i resorted to contacting RH support.

the solution for me was to perform these commands:

mkdir ~/.bakg
mv ~/.gnome ~/.bakg
mv ~/.gconf ~/.bakg
mv ~/.gtk ~/.bakg
hope this helps others
