Gnome with redhat 6.2 problem

How do you remove applications from the bottom panelbar?
I can't right click on the extra Netscape button to get rid of it, or the clock which I would prefer this other one.

(I don't know what version Gnome it is, but I'm using Linux 6.2 and haven't changed the window managers yet)

6.2 being an old version may not have supported the right click to remove the button from the taskbar. I now the later versions support adding/removing from the taskbar, and changing clock types.

It could have been a bug in the software or a update that needed to be installed to fix that problem, but I doubt because of the age of 6.2 you may not find any updates for it. Sorry this doesn't give you a solution to your problem.

I believe it's gnome-1.2.x, and you can right click the panel. Can you right click the desktop or anything at all to verify that it works?

I had a RH 6.2 box until recently. It was gnome 1.0. It was pretty easy to remove/add icons to the panel, AFAIR, but the desktop was a bit buggy. Unfortunately I don't remember how I did it. Perhaps double click? Perhaps gnome has somehow crashed, have you tried a different user?

Best,

Ott
