I tried everything that I know to get internet to work. I have a dsl connection that works in windos,kanotix, and mandrake but I seem to not be able to get the Red Hat connection to work.

Is it an internal ADSL modem you are using?

Need more details of your setup - NIC? router? etc etc

Give more details but here's what I discovered with my DSL modem. For some reason Fedora Core won't recognize my modem when it's plugged into the USB port, So I have to plug it into the NIC.

It might also be that you haven't set up a network connection. I'm not sure what version of redhat your using but under Fedora Core, in the menu under system utilities there should be a network configuration tool that will allow you to set up a network connection for broadband. It's not like windows. it's not going to detect it automatically.
