gcc, cc, cl Not Found ?

Hi All !!
Im kinda newbie, using RH9.
I am trying to install a package and ./configure command retrieves this:

checking for gcc... no
checking for cc... no
checking for cc... no
checking for cl... no
configure: error: no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH
See `config.log' for more details.

But I installed gcc and cc on RH installation.... and if i try to install gcc RPM from cd it says package already installed...Dont know if this helps, but on echo $PATH I dont have /user/sbin...
This is echo $PATH
/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/home/martin/bin

1 - So.... how to add /usr/sbin to PATH ?
2 - How to check if I have gcc, or install it ?

THANKS !!!!

you need the file gcc-3.2.2 package install it and its depencies or use redhat-config-package and install development tool it will be installed automaticly

I really like RedHat, they never give users what they will need.
I don't remember wich cd it is but look in "developemment" package and add everything about gcc and C++ compilator.

man up2date.... that's redhat's own tool and it is excellent :) It takes care of dependencies automatically and can auto install updated packages. You've got to register, though unless you can get it to use the CDs.
