Full of '/tmp/6R96Sk' empty files

Hi.

My server is full of '/tmp/6R96Sk' empty files. They are 16,000 and created
by 'apache' user:
-rw------- 1 apache apache 0 Aug 11 10:38 6R95Sk
-rw------- 1 apache apache 0 Aug 14 09:35 6RGDaN
-rw------- 1 apache apache 0 Aug 11 10:07 6ReFS9
-rw------- 1 apache apache 0 Aug 11 12:29 6S1RDK

How could I know which process created them?

Thank you very much.

Check the output of lsof to see whether any file that matches that
naming convention is open, and if so, which process owns it.

Cheers,
Tink

Hi Tink.

Thank you very much for your answer. The files are created by mysqld:
Code:
[]# lsof | grep tmp
mysqld 9458 mysql 6u REG 0,143 0 257464839 (deleted) /tmp/ibE3FYj2
mysqld 9458 mysql 7u REG 0,143 0 257464842 (deleted) /tmp/ibQfnPrU
mysqld 9458 mysql 8u REG 0,143 0 257464843 (deleted) /tmp/ib28EpRM
mysqld 9458 mysql 14u REG 0,143 0 257464844 (deleted) /tmp/ibXKSBlC
Does anybody know why is mySQL creating this files? Thank you very much.
