Angry ftp server does not let you connect

Hi

Very strange: LinuxRH 6.2 Server with the wu-ftp server running on it (IP:10.10.10.10). When you connect to it over FTP it reports:

connected to 10.10.10.10.

And then nothing.

It just stays like this. Forever. No asking for username or password. CTRL-C does not impress it at all.

I can do this on the Linux machine or on a remote machine, all the same result
I don't have any special config, it's just after I set it up fresh....

What is going on there? Why is that damn thing freezing like this?
TCP/IP is working fine for other things.

Any help is appreciated

Regards

Markus
