fstab/udev don't match. Problem?

I have four drives, 1 IDE with the OS and 3 SATA drives in a software raid 5 array. I recently turned on AHCI in the bios, and the drive letters changed.

I rebooted before changing fstab and everything booted up right, and almost everything adjusted to the change automatically, but the command 'df' still reports / as being mounted on /dev/sda2, which is now a part of the raid array.

My question is whether I there's anything else I need to manually change to adjust to this, and whether booting up this once with the wrong drive letters in fstab might have caused any problems that aren't readily apparent (since everything seems to be working fine).

IDEs are seen as SCSIs

I have an IDE-based PIV system; it's about 4 years old and did not have SATA built into the motherboard. When I loaded Ubuntu (7.10) on it, my IDE drives' designators became SCSI designators. The system runs fine.
