Angry Fstab

I installed Linux one week ago and learned a little bit about the fstab,
but as i reinstalled now i discovered that there are multiple commands,
not mentioned in webpages that asume to explain the fstab-file and its commands.
also it seems that for different type of Partitions, different options are availabel.

umask, doesn't seem to work on a logical partition as used
what are the commands fmask, and dmask are good for,

DOES THERE EXIST A fstab PAGE ON THE WEB ? ? ?

Sure there is...

http://linux.die.net/man/5/fstab

http://linux.die.net/man/1/umask

http://linux.die.net/man/8/mount

http://linux.die.net/man/8/mount.ntfs-3g

http://man.linux-ntfs.org/ntfsmount.8.html
fmask=, dmask= :Instead of specifying umask which applies both to files and directories, fmask applies only to files and dmask only to directories.
