fschk of ext2 during boot up

Okay, a file system check of my ext2 file system is forced at every 30 boots or some such on my SuSE 9.0pro.

I did not find were and how this checking is started, so can anybody tell me about the mechanism or point me to where I can read up on it?

Reason is, I am playing with the services (disabling them to accelerate booting) and I am afraid that I might unintentionally disable the checks (later I want to start them by cron).

Thanks in advance .

The check i.e. time and number of boots is determined by the file system and can be changed via the tune2fs command.

Checking on boot is determined by the options in the /etc/fstab file.
