Framebuffer boot console

In the 2.4.22 kernel, I was able to have my login console boot at 1024x786. I'm using the 2.6.6 kernel now and it doesnt do it. Is there support for it in this kernel? I do have it compiled into the kernel.

Thanks

It works fine for me by passing vga=791 to the kernel. Are you sure that you have compiled support for your particular graphics card into the kernel and not as a module?
