Fixing recursive fault screen

Hello, today I started my computer and this message appeared on the screen, I rebooted and now is gone but what caused it ?

Thank you

a kernel crash, at a guess. Some crash anyhow. If the reboot fixed it, treat it as a 'brain fart' if it does not recur.

May I ask which distro and version you are running umbloaded? I have seen similar (on Debian Sid) and thought it was probably a race condition which the system corrected by either swapping the order things ran or delaying one.
Edit: Sorry I was being slow. It is probably exactly what it says it is: a recursion (script or process calling itself) which the system detected and fixed.
