fixing my partitions

hi, i have followed http://portal.suse.com/sdb/en/2004/0...booting91.html

upto the point where it says "In the following menu, select "cdrom" and confirm with OK." at which point it says there is no driver on the disk. i think this is because the help doc is for i386 where i am running the x86_64 version of suse. after a lot of searchjing i have yet to find the answer for my system and was wondering if there is another way to repair the error that yast created when i installed suse? i am going out of my mind as it seems so easy for the i386 version but so hard for mine, to make things more complicated my lappy has no floppy disk so i would need to use iso images for any fixes.

the website describes the problem as "The partitioning tool parted which YaST uses during the installation may write an incorrect partition table." is there any other tools that i can use to fix this problem?? thanks.

forgot to mention, i have no problems booting suse. its just windows thats broke.
