fixing linux distrubutions?

hi there:

i have been trying out different distrubutions just to see how they work. i have just tried the Agnula DemuDi and my ethernet card was not recognised. however, its works perfectly with Dynebolic.

my question therefore is that.is it possibile to take parts of one distrubution that works and use it to fix the none working part of other distrubution? for example, take the driver (and necessary files) that works with my ethernet card from Dynebolic and put it in DemuDi?

if yes, how would make a start?

many thanks

CHUN

The answer is a qualified YES. Qualification: There should be no problem, so long as the dependencies of the software you install are satisfied.

Start by investigating the software you want to install. Do you have the dependencies satisfied? If not, download and install the dependent software first, then install the software to do what you want.
