firefox uses samba?
i am in the bad habit of starting up any program by typing on the console.
It is many times that firefox reports these:
As far as i know samba is for network file sharing. What files firefox tries to share?
Do I have to worry for improper firefox functionality?
Thank you a lot.
The message is actually from kmozillahelper. That allows firefox to integrate more nicely into KDE, so that it can use (for example) KDE file dialogs. Most likely kmozillahelper uses samba to let it browse the network when navigating through the KDE file dialogs.
