firefox


i download firefox but when try installing i get

Fatal error [-618]: COuldn't open xpistub libray

any ideas guys?

hey
maybe u should get ur self another copy, coz, i have installed firefox so many times on so many system but no problems

and which package of firefox are u trying??the installer or he rpm or the source code

when you visit http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/ you see agreen link at th eright,
that's what i download

i was asking for that ,becaue it is a possibilty that the package might have been corrupted during the download
i too have faced such problems which sometimes get recitified on trying with another copy of that

try to upgrade your glibc to version 2.3.2 or higher.

I dont use Mandrake, but I'm sure it has some sort of package installer. Do a search in your installer for glibc and install/upgrade that package.

here's the download for it, if you want to install yourself:

http://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/glibc/glibc-2.3.3.tar.gz
