Finnix won`t boot.
 

When I boot from the CD I get this:
Looking for Finnix media at sda4.
And there it hangs. The second time
I have tried this OS. Wouldn`t boot
the first one either. I have no
problems with other live CDs.

Sounds like it isn't intended to boot as a live CD. Writing the image to a hard disk drive (not partition) will have a better chance of working. Doing so will definitely destroy any data on the drive. This is based on the observation that 'sda4' must be the fourth partition on a magnetic SCSI, ATA (maybe) or SATA drive.

I checked out the link and thanks. I tried nodma and /dev/hdc
but same result. I noticed a usb stick plugged in at the back
and removed it while computer was off. When I booted with no
options added my boot order was changed and the clock and date
were changed!
WOW! A live CD that rewrites the bios. This can`t be good,
I think Mr. Finnie needs to do a lot more work.

Finnix = DeadCD or LiveCD ?? will not boot for me !

Always like to try Lives for fun.

Finnix WILL NOT boot up on any of my machines...

Yes=bios set to boot cd first
Yes=have tested dozens of Lives...

Thoughts??
