files invisible

I have a problem..somefiles on my server seems to have gone invisible. when i try to list them(ls -la) i cant c them..but i can open them for editing and things like that..someone please help me with this.

Is it an entire directory that has that problem? That sounds like what happens when you have a directory with the permissions not set quite right. If I remember you need read permission on a directory to see what is in there.

Invisible files

I have the same problem on my machine. The files from /tmp directory are invisible. I can copy, edit, delete them but I can not see them. The rights in the folder are ok. Any suggestions?
