File Manager / Explorer

Hi all,

Another question;

Is there a proper file manager / explorer available in Linux (Mandrake). I have tried Nautilus, Konquerer etc., and even though they are ok, it does not give you all the functionality users are used to in Windows (like Windows Explorer). KBear works very well, even though it is actually an FTP Client.

Thanks

Pieter

Konqueror has an incredible amount of features, but possibly you have to activate them first (I don't know Mandrake). Go to the control centre of Konqueror and experiment, I think you'll surprised. What do you miss in particular?

I miss only one feature: when clicking on a folder in the directory-tree the then opened folder doesn't jump upwards or to the to of the window to display as many sub-folders and files as possible. But possibly I just didn't find out how to activate that...

???

I haven't found anything yet that Konqueror won't do that I used to use Explorer for.

I second that. In fact, it may be TOO complicated for me but I still use it anyway..
