file association
 
HI!

Running Redhat 9 using Gnome. I installed acrobat 5 and cannot figure out how to associate all .pdf with acrobat.

I tried editing something but now a terminal opens up everytime I open a pdf.

Please Help

(WIndows mentality doesn't work with Linux)

Go to Gnome menu --> Applications --> Desktop preferences --> Advanced --> File-types and programs

Then open de menu "Documents" and then open Publisched materials, a .pdf file extension should be listed there. Also if not, make one and associate it with the proper app.
