fedora linux 8 crashed 7 grub loader displaying after restart


Hi friends


I am using linux fedora 8 it crashed after power failure. Now i am getting grub> prombt only
I searched for grub.conf in /boot/grub directory using fedora linux rescue mode i can't find.

file not found error showing

I tried to fix boot by grub-install commmand but it doesn't work out.

please help me to fix the error as soon as possible!

After installing grub - did you update it's menu.lst
Can grub find a kernel to boot?
What error messages do you get?

apropos grub

will give you a lit of grub related commands.
