Fedora Core 6 & Win XP dual boot problem

Everyone,
I recently bought a new hard drive and installed Fedora Core 6 on it. I used instructions I found on this site for a dual boot configuration with Windows XP. I installed the Boot file for Fedora on my Master Boot Record. Now when I restart my computer I have the option of selecting either Fedora or Win XP to boot. Fedora boots fine but Windows automatically starts a system recovery. When it's finished it asks me to restart the computer and I'm back to square one. Every time I try to boot windows it does the same thing. Why would this happen if the only thing put on my windows hard drive was the boot file I put on the MBR? In addition how do I fix this so windows will boot again. Any help would be highly appreciated as my girfriend is now pissed that she can't use windows anymore.

Thanks for your help,
Scott

Running in Fedora, please post the contents of /boot/grub/menu.lst (also sometimes called grub.conf)

To restore the Windows MBR, boot from the Windows CD--rescue mode--and run "fixmbr". Before you do this, you can put GRUB on floppy so you can still get into Fedora.

The link below will lead you to an article on booting.

Thanks

Thanks for the help I will give it a try. If this doesn't work, or I can't figure it out, the more likely case, would it be possible to simply uninstall Fedora? I'm thinking I would rather boot linux from a boot disk anyway.

Thanks again,
Scott
