Unhappy fedora core 4 nptl priority confusing

Hello.

I've read some literature, and i've known that kernel 2.6 has 140 priority level.
0 to 99 realtime static priority and 100 to 140 normal static priority.
But when i use ps -lAmL, my java threads had priority (under PRI column) 78,77,etc. Isn't that realtime priorities? And i saw thread from another process had priority -40. That value was out of range, isn't it?. What's happening? Where do i get wrong in this problem?
And Anybody know how java map their threads priority to nptl thread priority?

thank you for anyone that can help.
