fedora: booting the installer for an ftp install

Hey,

I am in the process of converting a spare computer into a server. I would like to install fedora core 5 onto it. The only problem is, i dont have a (working) cd burner. So i would like to do an install over FTP.

So my questions are these:

What is the best way to boot into the installer with out a cd?

I assume a usb stick is probably best, so if i can get usb boot working, what files do i need and how do i make the stick bootable?

are there any other suggestions on the best way to to this w/o a fedora install cd?

On the first installation CD, you will find /images/diskboot.img.

From /images/README:
Quote:
The diskboot.img file is a VFAT filesystem image that can be written to a USB pendrive or other bootable media larger than a floppy. Note that booting via USB is dependent on your BIOS supporting this. It should be written to the device using dd.
Start the boot using this image and at the boot prompt, enter:
Code:
boot: linux askmethod
This is also covered in the Fedora Installation Guide: http://fedora.redhat.com/docs/fedora...ring-usb-media
