Fedora 6 Hangs after 3 - 5 minutes of usage?

I had Fedora Core 6 64bit installed on my computer. When I log in, in about 3 - 5 minutes of using the opearating system, it hangs or freezes with a blank screen a different color each time, sometimes with strips going down.

Anyone know how to fix? Also, I have the 64bit version of Fedora on a DVD, Is there a way to install the 32bit version of using the 64bit version?

Thanks.

I would assume your video card is bad. Can your swap to a terminal screen? I had a dell notebook to do that once.
