FC6 - cannot capture audio

Hello,

Recently I installed version of Skype that does not actually match Fedora. Previous Fedora version worked fine but I was trying to get more rich GUI so I tried few other version of Skype. That was mistake, because now I can not capture sound from microphone anymore, even in other application (KRec and Audacity) despite the fact that I can hear myself talkinkg in headphones (!?). Also in Kmix I can adjust level, I can mute microphone, set boost level, etc - but there is no recording made or there is no feedback from Skype test even after I returned to version of Skype that worked before.

Any ideas what to do ?

Thank you for your answer. However, there was much simpler solution to the problem which, BTW was not rectified in latest versions of Fedora. I have one card (SoundBlaster Live!) in PCI slot and NVidia CK804 on MBO. Problem was so incredible trivial. After all variation of all possible audio settings in mixer I finally only change setting of master volume for (DISABLED !) onboard soud card. Card is disabled in CMOS setup, but somehow volume setting has influence. After that sound recording is working excellent.

That was for future reference for people who might have problem of this sort.

Thanks,

Josip
