Ext2 read and write on SD card how ?

Dear Experts

Sorry I couldn't figure which sub forum I need to post this question which is mix between windows OS and Linux partition type Ext2

I am using windows 7 and before partitioning my mobile's (Samsung Galaxy S7) SD card I did backup to all folders that were installed on it.

Then I partitioned the SD card using the utility called "Mini Tool Partition" as per the snapshot below (SD card named as Disk2 not 1 and size is 32 GB)

I created 3 partitions as per some online recommendation and as below :

8 GB Fat32
16 GB Ext2
8 GB Swap

I wanted to copy the backup apps to partition named "Ext2" which utility will let me do that ?

So far I tried ext2explore and Ext2Fsd-0.68 with no joy

I am using windows 7 OS not linux

Thanks

There is some confusion here. First of all, there are partition types. See this link for a explanation, and a list of partition types.

-->https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Partit..._partition_IDs

Ok. Linux uses hex 83 for file system types. A file system is made by the operating system, read and written to by an OS. EXT2 is a valid linux file system. Windows can not read or write this file system.

It appears you have a ntfs file system, windows can read/write to that. It appears you have named the partition ext2. I don't think the name matters to the OS.

Now, please tell us where you have the SD card plugged in? On your Win system, or in the Galaxy S7?

By looking at the images you posted, I do not see a drive letter assigned to the partition you called ext2. Did you map the drive?

F: looks like FAT32.
