Everything is working now what next?

Hi

I have been using linux since 2000. Earlier it was only Slackware but now I am quadruple booting my machine
with
Win XP(my brother uses this)
FC3(primary distro-full install)
Debian 3.1(25/4/05 build-base install will add packages as and when needed)
Slackware 10.1(without KDE or Gnome but with XFCE and fluxbox but usage will be more of CLI
Still there is space of abt 3.5gb

The basic purpose of doing this was to get a taste of 3 major distributions.

So now everything is running fine but now what

I wan to use linux for more useful purposes say learning to program

Even maybe creating a web page

I dont know from where to start. May be a book on programming etc.I want to use linux installed on my Pc for some learning purpose.
Earlier when I was new to Linux setting it up and using Linux for playing music/video/surfing were only the primary tasks I did.

I have tried to do something useful but always there is a new distro to try and new sites and links to visit and I get lost in those and finally time is spent in trying to know/install new distros or visiting sites.

Any suggestions

Thanks and Regards
Ninad

Exactly what I would've said. It's easy as it's a high level interpreted language and you can do just about anything with it. I've recently jumped on the bandwagon and I love it. My computer time has become significantly easier, if something is done in a way I don't like, or I feel there's an easier way I just chuck together a script in Python so whatever is bugging me works my way. *insert heart emoticon here*
