eth0 eth1 flip flop


my ethernet card is supposed to be eth0 and my wireless card is supposed to be eth1, but for some reason that i cant figure out, they periodically switch. whats causing this and how can i stop it? it's really annoying. also, shouldnt my wireless card be called wlan0? how can i make it a wlan instead of eth?
