Hi,
I'm not sure if this is the right forum where i can submit my question but if it's the wrong one i guess the mods can move it.
I'm working on my own LFS installation based on the latest stable book (6.4) Now when it's finished it could boot with no particular errors from the hard drive.
Next thing i wanted to do is make a livecd of my whole system. I use Isolinux to load my own initrd.gz and my 2.6.28.6 kernel.
The following problem occurs when booting my image in a VM:
/bin/sh: error while loading shared libraries: libreadline.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
linuxrc used greatest stack depth: 5164 bytes left
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!
more information:
/lib/libreadline.so.5 exists
I've googled around and found nothing particular about my exact problem. Ofcourse it could be that i overlooked it.
If you could help me i would be very gratefull.
greetings
ps:
i searched the boards ofc and did the things in de following post
post
add /lib to /etc/ld.so.conf
execute ldconfig and ldconfig -p (where libreadline.so.5 was found in the output)
but still the error exists
