Email notification for linux?


Are there any? I'm looking for something that sits in the taskbar and lets me know when there is a new email.

In gnome, you can right-click on a panel, go to "Add to panel"..."Internet"..."Inbox Monitor".
In kde, I'm not sure. You can always use gkrellm. It's a general purpose system monitor (CPU, memory, etc) and it also has an inbox monitor.

checkout either korn or biff. Never used biff but I use korn on my mandrake box in kde.
