Editing Lilo


Hey Guys
Is there anyway of editing lilo through windows?
If not how else can you do it? Apart from being in linux.

Well, the actual lilo.conf that you edit resides in the /etc directory in Linux.. when you run lilo it then makes the changes in the MBR or wherever you installed it, first sector of hard drive, etc. Unless you can find a program that can natively read Linux's filesystem, your outta luck but even if you could do that, you'd have to run the lilo command to make the changes cause I'm pretty sure the Lilo that is in the MBR, etc, is not going to be plain text format or anything that I know of.

Have you locked yourself out of linux on your machine? There must be a reason as to why you need to do this. LOL. Do you have your install disk? You could use it as a rescue disk...
